Our 2022 Fall Hike at the Abita Creek Flatwoods Preserve was the largest ever! Thank you to Nelwyn McInnis and Latimore Smith for guiding us on this beautiful tour of a bio-diverse haven on the Northshore. We hold the conservation easement on over 900 acres of this public preserve owned by The Nature Conservancy. It’s always magical to hike among the flourishing longleaf pines — a forest ecosystem that is rapidly disappearing across the southeastern US. Check out pictures from our beautiful hike below.
