The Stargazing Galentine Party at Pine Knoll Farm brought a wonderful turnout and a truly special evening on the land.
Approximately 60 guests arrived to a glowing sunset over the farm’s rolling hills, with horses grazing nearby and the Tangipahoa Parish countryside settling into dusk. As fire pits flickered to life, friends gathered for s’mores, conversation, and a chance to simply be together in nature. What was most noticeable was how this special event brought people together for the greater good.
A special thank you to Jay and Ellen Addison for hosting such a special evening on their farm. We are so grateful!
From church ladies to couples celebrating Valentine’s to kids wanting to learn more about Astronomy, this Land Trust for Louisiana event brought together folks who exchanged phone numbers, hugged and shared laughter with promises to meet again at another event. How special is that?
We’re deeply grateful to the Pontchartrain Astronomy Society for sharing their time and telescopes for this special event. Even under cloudy skies, it was a joy to gaze through the lenses, learn about the night sky, and share in that sense of wonder as a community. We viewed Jupiter and her moons, saw Saturn up close and personal and got a chance to see beautiful skies that without the PAS organization, we wouldn’t have had a chance to see.
More than anything, the evening offered something many of us are craving—peaceful time outdoors, connection with one another, and the quiet beauty of a conserved landscape after dark. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate friendship, stars, and the healing power of the Louisiana outdoors.
