This tells us something important about the necessity of conservation efforts in our state. Louisiana has an abundance of biodiversity, and we’re home to numerous rare natural communities… like the Louisiana Black Bear, Bottomland hardwood forests, our crawfish/rice aquaculture, and MUCH more!

When we overdevelop, pave over floodplains, and make nature less resilient to climate change, the diversity that makes our state so special WILL become more imperiled!

We truly live among priceless natural treasures. Let’s do everything we can to protect and preserve our home.
